AMERICAN TERATEC, Inc. (ATI) was established in 1990 to provide sales support and service in North America for the maritime products of Terasaki Electric Co. of Osaka Japan.  With major capital equipment on over 10,000 vessels ATI along with other members of the GLOBAL SERVICE NETWORK  are prepared to handle retrofit programs.  The Terasaki equipment includes power distribution systems, electronic switchgear, circuit breaker protection and motor starters of all sizes.  ATI also maintains a supply of commonly needed components and has a rapid turnover repair capability.

The staff at ATI consists of eight experienced individuals with five having extensive marine technical training and experience.  ATI is thus capable of performing vessel surveys, preparing repair and retrofit installation quotations, overseeing installations, commissioning equipment and providing start-up training.  In addition ATI personnel have experience in creating and implementing maintenance programs and conducting vessel thermal surveys.  ATI maintains facilities at Northvale, New Jersey with electronics, software, and normal shop facilities.  Additionally, ATI maintains portable test equipment including that needed for testing large air circuit breakers common in marine applications.

ATI is prepared to do intermittent one-time service jobs as well as multi-year contract maintenance on one vessel or vessel fleets.  We regularly service vessels on all three coasts as well as in the Canadian and Caribbean waters.
